KL Rahul run-out miss

Team India wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul was on the money once again with the bat in the 3rd ODI against New Zealand, but not so behind the wicket. The wicket-keeper gave New Zealand opener Henry Nicholls reprive in the 12th over, when he failed to collect to ball and effect run-out.

It was 12th over of the New Zealand innings. Martin Guptill pushed a delivery to point and tried sneaking a single from the hands of the point fielder who latched on the throw and returned it to KL Rahul standing behind wickets. However, KL Rahul could not collect it and missed running out Nicholls.

Nicholls makes the most of reprive

Henry Nicholls, who was batting at 23, went on to top-score for the hosts. The Kiwi opener was finally dismissed on 80 (103), but had taken NZ to a winning position by then.

India were outclassed in yet another ODI of the series and registered first ODI series whitewash since 1989.
