Pakistan vs England 3rd Test: Pakistan will be hosting the third and final Test match against England scheduled to begin at the National Stadium in Karachi from 17 December, 2022. The Ben Stokes-led England team went on to register a smashing 26-run win over Pakistan in the second Test match and also sealed the three-match Test series in their favour by taking an unassailable lead of 2-0. England also won the opening Test match on a flat Rawalpindi pitch by a margin of 74 runs.
As seen in the past, the pitch at the National Stadium in Karachi has provided quite competitive conditions both for the batsmen and bowlers throughout the five days of the Test match and something similar will be expected to happen during the PAK vs ENG 3rd Test starting from Saturday. The spinners will once again have a significant role to play in this Test match especially from Day 2 onwards which was also a case in Multan. However, the conditions will be nice for batting on the first three days of the Test match and the batters need to make it count once they are set on the pitch. It will be a perfect decision for the captain to bat first after winning the toss on this track.
England managed to defeat Pakistan by a margin of 6 wickets in 2000 at the National Stadium in Karachi. During the last Test match played between Pakistan and Australia earlier this year on the same venue, both the teams scored in excess of 400 runs during their respective first innings but the game ended in a draw. Pakistan registered a brilliant 7-wicket victory over South Africa on this ground in 2021. Incidentally, England have won just a single Test match out of their 7 games in Karachi so far against Pakistan.
