Reports: IPL All-Stars game cancelled

The much-anticipated IPL all stars game which was tentatively said to happen before the start of IPL has now been cancelled as per reports from trustable sources.

The one-off match which was eagerly-awaited by the cricket fans has been brought to an abrupt end which will be a big disappointment for the cricket fans around the world.

No proper communication

The all-stars match would need a proper ground work and a clear cut communication from BCCI if it has to happen by any means as it involves players from all the franchises. But the BCCI has not been active ever since the official confirmation came regarding the happenings of the match.

The 8 IPL franchisee who were reluctant to allow their players to participate in the all stars match just days before the commencement of the gala league will be in a good breathing space now as the match has been cancelled.

As per an official of a south franchise, “It is at least not happening before the start of the IPL”. A official from a north franchise has gone one step further and said that BCCI haven’t communicated at all with them regarding the all-stars match.

The wait continues for the world’s biggest stadium

The biggest cricket stadium in the world has been constructed by the BCCI in Motera, Ahemadabad. It was expected that the all-stars game will be the first official match that will be played at the collosal stadium but now as per reports, the new stadium has to wait for its turn.

The BCCI president Sourav Ganguly who was the one who Infused this idea of all-stars game will be disappointed for not pulling off this all-stars game which would have been a carnival otherwise.

Although, the massive stadium can still host the Asia XI vs World XI game which is organized by the Bangladesh cricket Board in March. Sourav Ganguly has agreed to send 5 players from India to participate in it and the official confirmation on the same is awaited.
