RR Playing 11: Rajasthan Royals will be facing last year’s runners-up Delhi Capitals in the 7th match of IPL 2021 here at Mumbai. After a narrow loss to Punjab Kings in their first game, the Royals will be looking to bring their campaign back on track. In 22 head-to-head matches between these two sides, both sides have won 11 each which shows how close this rivalry has been over the years. Last year though, Delhi Capitals got the better of Royals in both the fixtures which the Royals will be aware of. With some exciting young Indian talents on both the sides, expect a cracker of a match.

Ben Stokes has been ruled out of the whole tournament due to the finger injury and that will surely test Royals’ bench strength. Jofra Archer remains unavailable to play but has been allowed to train. David Miller is in line to play after finishing his quarantine. Here is how their eleven could be shaped up for this match:

RR Playing 11 (likely)

M Vohra
J Buttler
S Samson (C) (wk)
D Miller
S Dube
R Parag
R Tewatia
C Morris
S Gopal
C Sakariya
M Rahman

Buttler is expected to go up the order to open alongside Vohra while Miller can fit in at No.4. The responsibility will be on Buttler and Samson to score bulk of the runs in Stokes’ absence. Sakariya’s performance was a huge positive for Royals and they will expect a bit more from their overseas fast bowlers.
