Sachin will have same respect even if Kohli breaks his records: Harbhajan

Virat Kohli recently became the quickest to reach to 10000 ODI runs and since then comparisons with Sachin Tendulkar have been resurfaced. However, Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh feels that Sachin will have the same respect even if Kohli breaks his records.

 

Harbhajan feels Sachin paaji will remain paaji

While speaking with a news channel, the off-spinner showered praise on the Indian captain. He said that he would call Kohli is the No.1 batsman by what he has seen over the years now. He explained that he has played with a lot of greats…with paaji, Sachin Tendulkar.

He made it clear that the respect for Sachin will remain the same even if Virat Kohli goes past his records. He further added that Paaji gonna remain paaji.

 

Kohli is the perfect role model: Harbhajan

At the same time, he said that he has got a lot of respect for Virat with what he has done. The Indian spin bowler noted that when Kohli came, he was a chubby guy and now if you see him with all the hard work he has done. He also asked everyone to look at Kohli’s record.

Harbhajan feels that Kohli is doing something special. According to him, the Indian batsman is setting a right example for all the young cricketers who are willing to play this game and he is a perfect role model.

Speaking further about Kohli, the spinner said that the way Kohli goes about his business, every time he walks out on the field with all the expectations from him, he is just unbelievable. He called the Indian captain a run-machine. And he also pointed out that it is not easy being Virat Kohli. He explained that the Indian batsman is one guy who takes the load on his shoulder and his performances are just too good.
