India vs Pakistan: It’s not just the players who face the heat

India vs Pakistan is one of the most on-field intense rivalries.

Emotional upheavals and flaring tempers are the quintessential elements of an India-Pakistan tie. And, whenever it is about Pakistan and India, it is not just the players who face the heat.

Celebrities and their spouse also often become the soft targets who come under the radar of the trolls.

To refrain from the backlash and the comments of the trolls, Indian tennis sensation has decided to sign out from the social media for a few days so that she doesn’t get affected by the buzz going on the social media.

India will be taking on Pakistan for their second match in the Asia Cup 2018 on 19 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai from 5:00 pm onwards.

‘Safe to sign out of social media,’ says Sania

The 31-year old who is expecting her first child with her husband Shoaib Malik has got trolled in the previous Indo-Pak matches as well. Thus this time, she has decided to go out from the social media for a few days.

Urging the fans to treat the game just like other games, she wrote, “So less than 24 hrs to go for this match, safe to sign out from social media for a few days since the amount of nonsense that’s gonna b said here can make a ‘regular’ person sick, let alone a pregnant one Later guys! Knock yourselves out!BUT remember-ITS ONLY A CRICKET MATCH! Toodles!”

Often on the receiving end

A few months earlier, trolls were quick to relate Sania Mirza with Alia Bhatt after watching the trailer of Raazi. One of the trolls wrote, “Alia’s Bhatt’s “Raazi” is a story of an Indian girl who gets married to a Pakistani man but she still works for India. Basically, this movie is a biopic of Sania Mirza. #RaaziTrailer”

In August, people trolled her for wishing Independence Day to Pakistan. One of the trolls asked, “Happy Independence Day @MirzaSania.. aapka independence day aaj hi hai na (Your Independence Day must be today).”
