Chahal says Dhoni offers a lot of help from behind the stumps

When asked about the role of MS Dhoni behind the stumps, Chahal revealed that Dhoni provides a lot of insights about the batsmen to the bowlers.

He said Dhoni tells us very early how the wicket is behaving and also tells us what the batsman is trying to do.  Chahal stated that this gives an idea even before he comes to bowl, instead of him finding out after bowling two or three overs.

The leg spinner pointed out that Dhoni has been a captain, he’s played for so many years and has a wealth of experience. He watches the batsmen closely and knows what it is to play on such surfaces.

Chahal stated that sometimes when he has a plan that is different to what Dhoni thinks, they discuss it. It’s not like Dhoni rejects their plan.
