Shakib Al Hasan names IPL XI, Gautam Gambhir to lead

The veteran Bangladeshi all rounder and one of the greatest white ball all rounders of this era in Shakib Al Hasan has picked an all time IPL XI which only includes players that he have played alongside. The genuine all rounder has been a part of 2 successful IPL campaigns with KKR. He missed to win the trophy for the 3rd time with SRH in 2018 where they lost to CSK in the finals.

Shakib has no doubts on Gambhir’s captaincy skills!

One of the successful captains in the Indian premier league is Gautam Gambhir. He has 2 IPL trophies and one of the shrewd captains in the history of IPL. He is a highly underrated captain and Shakib had no doubts is giving the captaincy to Gautam Gambhir in his all time XI. Two of the prolific run getters in Robin Uthappa and David Warner will be opening in Shakib’s all time XI. Robin Uthappa will also handle the wicket keeping duties in the team.

The captain Gautam Gambhir will bat at #3 which is not his preferred position but any player would be happy to play after 2 brilliant openers up front. The middle order will be taken care by Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan and Yusuf Pathan.
