Since most of the nations across the globe are battling the COVID-19 epidemic through lockdown, plenty of cricket lovers are taking a trip to Nostalgia by watching the highlights of some iconic games to kill time. One such match was the Indo-Pak encounter in the ICC World Cup of 2003.

Eventually it was the ‘Men in Blue’ that won the game in grand manner, and coincidentally Mohammad Kaif, who was an integral member of that squad was also watching the highlights along with his son Kabir. It was in one Shoaib Akhtar’s spells to Kaif where Kabir’s reaction was recorded by his father.

As Akhtar steamed in, Mohammad Kaif flicked the ball towards the mid-wicket region for a boundary that took Kabir by surprise. However, Kabir then made a witty remark stating that “it must have been easy to hit the ball that came fast.”

Mohammad Kaif took no time in posting the reaction on twitter, which also caught the eye of the ‘Rawalpandi Express,’ Shoaib Akhtar.  The former fast bowler also weighed in with a cheeky response by suggesting that his son Mikhail Ali and Kabir should go toe to toe in order to get more answers about pace.

Over the course of time both players were key members of their teams. Mohammad Kaif was known for his ability to grind runs, his agility and the field and the match winning innings in the Natwest Series Finals as one of India’s most famous ever wins.

Meanwhile Shoaib Akhtar was a fast bowler of the purest form. Akhtar’s pace and bounce often terrorized various batsmen in the international circuit and is still looked up as one of the greats when it comes to modern day fast bowling.
