Sri Lanka Playing 11 SL vs AUS: In a big news development, hosts Sri Lanka have named their playing 11 for the first of the three T20I matches against Australia scheduled to be played on 7 June, 2022 at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka and Australia are scheduled to lock horns first in a three-match T20I series and then the two teams will be playing 5 ODIs and two Test matches. The 3 T20I games will be a good preparation for both the teams ahead of this year’s all-important ICC T20 World Cup.

Sri Lanka have announced a strong playing XI for the first T20I encounter against Australia scheduled on Tuesday. After doing well in the recently concluded edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022), the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Dushmantha Chameera, Maheesh Theekshana and Bhanuka Rajapaksa have also been included in the Lanka T20I side. The trio of Dushmantha Chameera, Nuwan Thushara and Chamika Karunaratne are the three frontline fast bowlers.

The likes of Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Kusal Mendis and Bhanuka Rajapaksa will have to stand up and take the responsibility in the batting department. Sri Lanka T20I skipper Dasun Shanaka will have to play the finisher’s role.
