Share

SL vs IND: India takes on Sri Lanka in the second T20 International today at the R. Premadasa stadium in Colombo. The match is scheduled to start at 2000 hrs. As was the case in the ODI series, the visitors have taken a 1-0 lead thanks to a commanding performance. Once again, they would be looking to seal the series with a game to spare.

Colombo Weather Update

The weather is again going to be cloudy throughout the day. The probability of rain between 5-9 PM is just 30 %, meaning we can expect a timely start to the proceedings. Winds will be very light with temperatures around 27 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be in the eighties which will make it very muggy for the players.

As the evening progresses, chances of rain are higher. However, by that time, the match would have reached its closing stages and we can expect a result. The forecast was even grimmer on Sunday but we got a full game. The fans will be hoping the rain Gods remain kind and we get an uninterrupted game.

SL vs IND 2nd T20I Expected Changes

Suryakumar Yadav and Prithvi Shaw were named in the Test squad for the upcoming England series. Captain Shikhar Dhawan has said they are available for this game. However, they might be given a break with the likes of Devdutt Padikkal, Manish Pandey, and Nitish Rana waiting in the wings. India will likely field the same bowlers after an impressive showing in the first game.

Sri Lanka has been struggling in the middle order. The squad was already depleted with injuries and now Charith Asalanka is out with a hamstring complaint. Sadeera Samarawickrama may come in as his replacement. The host side would be hoping to level the series and set up a grand final.
