The series between Indian and Sri Lanka has been entertaining due to the fine competitiveness of both the teams. Although the Sri Lanka team lost the ODI series, they gave a good fight despite the absence of their top players like Perera, Mendis, Dickwella, and Gunathilaka. The 1st T20I saw the Indian team putting up a good score on the board, and Sri Lanka team failing to chase down the score due to the dominating bowling performance by Team India.

3 Sri Lanka players doubtful for SL vs IND 2nd T20I

The 3 players, namely Charith Asalanka, Pathum Nissanka, Bhanuka Rajapaksa are said to be unavailable for the 2nd T20I between India and Sri Lanka. The middle-order batsman, Asalanka who was impressive in the ODI series and 1st T20I has sustained a hamstring injury, and Nissanka got hit in the arm during the net sessions. Bhanuka Rajapaksa, who helped the team to win the 3rd ODI is going through a finger injury and is not expected to be fit for the game.

The Sri Lanka team management can therefore give chances to the young legs to prepare them for the upcoming series and T20 World Cup.

Changes expected in Indian Team for 2nd T20I

The Indian team has displayed fine performances in this tour and are a confident side leading up to the 2nd T20I against Sri Lanka. They managed to clinch a dominating victory in the 1st T20I and are expected to play with the same 11. The bowlers, Chahar, Chahal, and Bhuvneshwar have been terrific, while Varun was impressive in his debut match.

The BCCI named Prithvi Shaw and Suryakumar Yadav in the Indian test team squad against England starting from 4 August. But, it is expected that both the players will be with the team until the end of the T20I series.
