SRH Playing 11: SRH were awful in their season opener losing the game by a big margin against Rajasthan Royals. These types of big losses early in the season can bite them towards the end of the season in the form of NRR. But that will be the last thing they should be worried about. They have built a decent enough team and all they should focus is on maximizing their resources and getting the best out of them. Lets take a look at their composition for the game against LSG.
SRH are one of the luckiest teams when it comes to player availability as all of their first choice players are available from the word go. As a matter of fact, SRH played their full strength side in the game against Rajasthan Royals. Though they dont have Sean Abbott with them in the squad who is currently playing in Pakistan for the white ball series and Glenn Phillips who has just joined with the team, they both are nowhere near their first choice playing 11 and it shouldn’t be a concern for them.
SRH opened with Kane Williamson which is not a bad move considering the amount of swing that is available for the new ball bowlers. It requires proper technique to survive the initial overs and none better than Kane Williamson is equipped to do so. But they sent Nicholas Pooran ahead of Aiden Markram against Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna who were breathing fire and SRH lost 3 wickets in no time inside powerplay. Although Aiden Markram is not a great player of the moving ball, he is still a better bet than Nicholas Pooran.
