Bangladesh Cricket Board has given the NOC to their star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan to feature for Barbados Tridents in the ongoing Caribbean Premier League. He has previously been part of the three seasons – 2013, 16 and 17 and is now available for the remainder of the current season.
“We have given him the NOC to take part in the CPL. We are expecting him to be available before the preparation for the series against India,” said Akram Khan, cricket operation chairman Bangladesh Cricket Board.
Currently, Barbados Tridents are sitting fourth in the points table with two wins in six encounters.

Shakib Al Hasan is set to join the Tridents ahead of the clash with St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in Bridgetown on Saturday. He will replace Nepali leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane who is due to leave for national duty.
Shakib was replaced by Steve Smith in the last edition of the tournament due to an injury and will be looking to continue his fine form. He scored 606 runs in eight games at an average of 86.57 in the World Cup 2019. In the recently concluded home tri-series against Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, he has made 96 runs in four games along with picking four wickets.
On the opposite, BCB officials confirmed that they have not taken any further decision in the case of Afif Hossain. Hossain was denied NOC after signing with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
