The tournament is heading towards a tense finish. There has been a huge daylight between the top 3 sides in the competition in RCB, DC and MI and the remaining 5 teams. This intensifies the race for the 4th spot and 2 teams who are having more than a realistic chance will be locking horns against each other, KKR and SRH.
KKR's journey in this tournament so far have been mixed with ups and downs to go with some unexpected decisions where their captain Dinesh Karthik resigned from captaincy and handed over the responsibility to the world cup winning captain in Eoin Morgan. They have also dropped Sunil Narine ever since he was reported for suspect action after the match against KXIP and rumors are that Sunil Narine might play the game against SRH
Sunil Narine has been an important member of all the KKR's victories so far. He choked CSK when the game was done and dusted for KKR and he defended 13 runs in the last over against Kings XI Punjab to buy crucial 2 points for KKR.
He was reported for suspect action after that game and KKR have dropped Sunil Narine since then and lost both the games. Now, with all to play for, KKR management might be tempted to play Sunil Narine for the game against SRH which is a must win game for both the sides.
It was expected that KKR's batting line up would demolish any bowling attack in this season as KKR have one of the explosive batting order that a T20 team could ever imagine. The likes of Dinesh Karthik, Andre Russell and Eoin Morgan could destroy any team on their day but the form of Andre Russell has been nothing but a disappointment.
KKR also will be expecting some intent at the top of the order from Shubman Gill who is playing at an average strike rate especially in the power play where he should be exploiting the fielding restrictions. They will be hoping for a good game against SRH today in Abu Dhabi.
