It’s hard to handpick notable performance from India’s talent-rich pool of players when there are so many players who are part of cricket’s folktales. But even harder would have been to rummage through India’s Test and the ODI’s pages to shower more praise on some individual. Too many. The task is still tough, but relatively easy to try this in T20, for this is the game’s newest form.

They say the T20 is a batsman’s game. From the rulebooks to the pitches, almost everything favours the men with willow, but the game is evolving into an all-action theatre, where only players with refined skill-set can succeed. The bowlers are always looking for ways to close the gap down on batsmen, and are always adding new tricks to their repertoire. India is definitely a top T-20 nation, and boast a rich talent pool of bowlers. Here is a list of five best Bowling performances by India bowlers in T20Is:

5. Kuldeep Yadav, 5-24 against England, Manchester, Old Trafford

English media termed Kuldeep Yadav as the “X-Factor” in the first T20 match of India’s 2018 tour of England. He was true indeed. England had all the confidence from their high-scoring series against Australia, while India were still getting accustomed to the English conditions, with this match the first of the series for Men in Blue. But Yadav bamboozled the hosts, scalping five wickets to restrict England to 159-8. The 24-year-old boasts the best career average for India in T20I.

4. Yuzvendra Chahal: 6-25 against England, 2018:
Arguably the best limited-overs bowler for India in the last 2-3 years. He is also the first Indian bowler to take a six-wicket haul in T20s for Team India. The 27-year-old produced a match-winning spell against England in 2018, as he picked up 6 wickets for 25 runs, helping his country to win the three-game series 2-1. The ICC named Chahal‘s magnificent performance as the best T20I performance of the year in 2018.

3. RP Singh, Super-8, 2007 T20 World Cup, 4-13 against South Africa

One of India’s heroes of the 2007 T20 World Cup. RP Singh played his best cricket in this tournament. He bowled with pace, swung the ball up and was almost unplayable.
In the super-8 knockout game against South Africa, India recovered from 61-4 to 153-5 in 20 overs. With the likes of Herschelle Gibbs, Graeme Smith, Ab de Villiers, Mark Boucher, Albie Morkel and Vernon Philander in the batting line-up, Dhoni knew it was not a match-winning target. But RP Singh stepped-up, brilliantly, guzzled through the hosts’ batting line-up and ended with 4-13 in four overs. South Africa were bundled out for just 116, and India qualified for the semi-final.
