Krunal Pandya experienced the tough side of international cricket as Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell clobbered him in the first T20I played at Brisbane. And after being smashed by the Aussie batsman, Pandya was trolled by the Twitterati.

Pandya shells out 55 runs in four overs

The moment Chris Lynn went down the track against Krunal Pandya in his first over and smashed him for a six, it became evident that the home team targeted India’s fifth bowler. However the Indian spinner bowled a quiet second over to put breaks but he was teared apart by Glenn Maxwell in his third over.

The left-arm spinner was hammered for three back-to-back sixes in his third over and the first one of them infact reached the second-tier of the stadium.

Despite  going for 23 runs in his third over, the Indian captain Virat Kohli gave the spinner the fourth over as India had very few bowling resources available. The Australian batsmen took full advantage of this and milked 17 runs in Krunal’s final over.

In Krunal’s last over, Marcus Stoinis clobbered a six off the first ball and then Maxwell slammed another six on the fifth ball which again reached the second-tier.

The Indian spinner ended up offering 55 runs in his four overs. Unfortunately for him , he had forced a miscued hit from Maxwell in his last over, but the ball hit the Spidercam and was declared dead. Otherwise, it may have ended as a catch.

Twitter unimpressed by Krunal’s show

The fans were dejected to see such a poor show from Krunal Pandya and they registered their dissent on Twitter. The Indian spinner was then trolled on social media for getting hammered by the Aussie batsman.
