Virat Kohli Angry Reaction: The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are currently taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in their second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season. The Virat Kohli-led team registered an amazing 2-wicket victory in a thriller against the defending champions Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener. On a tricky and slow Chennai surface, most of the RCB batsmen struggled to dictate the terms as the Sunrisers Hyderabad displayed a wonderful performance with the ball.
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a poor start losing both Devdutt Padikkal and Shahbaz Ahmed early in the innings. RCB captain Virat Kohli was certainly looking in a fine touch during his short stay of 33 runs off 29 balls before SRH all-rounder Jason Holder got the better of him in the 13th over. After getting dismissed, Kohli was clearly very disappointed with himself of throwing his wicket away at the wrong time and he was even seen smashing the chair with his bat while venting his anger near the boundary rope.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore never really got the momentum during their innings with the bat as they kept on losing wickets at regular intervals. However, Glenn Maxwell played a fine innings of 59 runs off 41 balls that included 5 fours and 3 sixes to help RCB reach a fighting total of 149 for 8 in their quota of 20 overs. This was Maxwell’s first half-century in two years while playing in the IPL and also the maiden one for RCB. For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Jason Holder picked up 3 crucial wickets while Rashid Khan also scalped 2 wickets.
