The Royal Challengers Bangalore clashed with the mighty Mumbai Indians in match number 10 of Dream11 IPL 2020 here in Dubai. Both the teams came into the contest with one win and one loss each and this was an important clash for both the sides as none of them would want to be lingering in bottom half of the table even though it’s early days in the long IPL.
The game between RCB and MI was seen as a clash between the Best vs Best. India’s best T20 bowler by some distance in the last couple of years Jasprit Bumrah was eager to take on the RCB batting lineup. RCB is led by the best limited overs batsman of this generation in Virat Kohli who wanted to show the world he could take on Jasprit Bumrah and co. Interestingly the year 2020 hasn’t been kind enough for the stalwarts as both of them have been out of form. Jasprit Bumrah went wicketless in some of the ODI and T20 games against New Zealand earlier in the year and Virat Kohli too did not have a good tour.
The fact that Jasprit Bumrah was smashed all over the park in the first game and even though he bowled 3 brilliant overs in the second, he was taken for 4 sixes by Pat Cummins
The mouth-watering clash went to a super over where Jasprit Bumrah came face to face with Virat Kohli. Much like their previous games, both of them had a poor outing and wanted to show what they are made of in the super over. Jasprit Bumrah made a comeback of sorts by bowling brilliantly to Ab de Villiers and Virat Kohli and conceded just 7 runs in 5 balls. With 1 run needed of the last ball for RCB, Virat Kohli faced a searing yorker and flicked it away for four showing he’s still the King Kohli finisher that he is.
In the end both of them smiled and shook hands with each other displaying bromance that was loved by the Indian cricket fans all over.
