Virat Kohli Out: After kicking off their IPL 2021 campaign on a wonderful note, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are currently facing the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the first afternoon encounter of this season at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The Virat Kohli-led RCB team registered amazing wins in their opening two games against Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad. However, in their third match of IPL 2021, RCB have got off to a poor start losing two quick wickets in the first six overs of the powerplay.

After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore suffered a body blow losing their skipper Virat Kohli in just the second over of the game. Kolkata Knight Riders’ fielder Rahul Tripathi took a sensational running catch to dismiss the RCB captain. On the second delivery of his very first over, KKR mystery bowler Varun Chakravarthy smartly tossed up a slower delivery and Kohli decided to take advantage of the fielding restrictions by playing a lofted drive but ended up slicing it over the cover region where Tripathi took a stunning catch while running backwards.

After failing to convert his starts in the first two matches, Kohli managed to score just 5 runs off 6 balls in this match. Varun Chakravarthy picked up his second wicket in the same over when he shattered Rajat Patidar’s stumps with a quicker delivery.

IPL 2021: RCB playing with 3 overseas players in the RCB vs KKR Match 10

The Royal Challengers Bangalore made a very surprising decision for their third match of IPL 2021 season as they are playing just 3 overseas players in their playing XI. RCB have dropped Daniel Christian and are playing with the trio of AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell and Kyle Jamieson. Rajat Patidar who was part of the side in the first game against Mumbai Indians has failed yet again in this match.
