This is a no brainer that Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s actions speak louder than his words. Right from raising high standards for fitness levels to escalating the competitiveness among the lads in the dressing room, Kohli has put his best foot forward to notch the accolades for the team.

From fancying Team India dominate world cricket for the next five or six years just when he was given the captaincy in 2015, the Indian skipper has turned dreams into reality and stands testimony to his words.

I strongly want to see the Indian team dominate for at least five or six years. We certainly have the talent. We certainly have the ability. All that it will take is how you manage that and keep them together,” Virat Kohli said to ESPNcricinfo in June 2015, days after being adjudged as Team India’s Test captain.

Team India clinch ICC Test Rankings

While the ‘Men in Blue’ are yet to lift an ICC title under Kohli’s captaincy, Team India’s expedition to the inaugural ICC World Test Championship is worth applauding. As ICC’s annual year came to an end on Wednesday, Team India managed to maintain itself in the coalition of the elite in the longer format of the game. Crowning the Indian brigade as ‘Kings of the Tests,’ skipper Kohli has realised his dreams and witnessed prophecy crop up into reality.

As Team India conquered the ICC Test contest this year, the Team has maintained its legacy for the fifth consecutive time after winning it in 2017 for the first time.
