Bowling legend, Shane Warne believes Rajasthan Royals’ youngster, Sanju Samson, is the next big thing coming out of India.

Shane Warne who is the only title-winning captain ever at Rajasthan, said, “He’s good against pace and spin in all conditions and I think he’s going to be the next superstar of cricket.”

Samson has scored 391 runs in 13 innings so far and has continued his fine form in the IPL after breaking out in this competition, in 2013. “He’s the new rock star, Sanju Samson, that’s for sure. He’s an outstanding player and he’s a quality international cricketer,” Warne continued.

“India at the moment is blessed with some riches of talent, I think our man Sanju Samson is right up there with (Rishab) Pant. I think those two guys are probably the best young Indian batsmen I’ve seen in a long, long time.”

Samson has only made one appearance for India, against Zimbabwe in 2015, in a T20 and since then has slid down the pecking order with the likes of Rahul and Iyer emerging.
