It was earlier confirmed that in the movie, Ranveer Singh will play the role of the former Indian skipper Kapil Dev. However, the news of Deepika playing the role of Romi Bhatia came today when Ranveer Singh posted a till from the movie on his Instagram account.
The makers of upcoming sports drama ’83’ after introducing Ranveer as Kapil Dev and his team as Kapil’s Devil, have revealed the first look of Deepika Padukone as Romi Bhatia. The fans are going crazy watching the uncanny resemblance of both the actors to the legendary cricketer and his wife.
