Watch: Rohit Sharma reveals his Cricket Crush on Insta Live

Team India’s front line opening batsman Rohit Sharma has been quite active on the social media ever since the nation has gone on lockdown due to COVID-19 outbreak. Earlier he had an Instagram live session with fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, where he had a few tongue-in-cheek remarks about the best batsman around the cricketing world, as well as Rishabh Pant’s challenge to him.

However, recently instead of Jasprit Bumrah, it was the former Indian southpaw, Yuvraj Singh who showed up on the social media platform to engage with the ‘Hitman,’ as well as the various cricketing fans. During the interaction between the dynamic duo, Rohit Sharma dodged a bullet by saying that his first crush while being a part of the Indian team was Yuvraj Singh himself.

What did Rohit Sharma confess?

“When I came into the team, my cricket crush was Yuvraj Singh. I just wanted to talk to Yuvraj, I wanted to see how he prepares, the role that Yuvraj had, I had to essay the same role eventually in the middle order,”.  Rohit confessed to Yuvi during their Instagram live session.

It is no surprise; however, that Rohit Sharma was an admirer of the Yuvi. From his agility in the field to his persona while being outside of it, Sharma didn’t shy away from speaking it away.

When it came to fielding, I wanted to learn from Yuvraj. There was an incident in which I had entered the team bus early, I was half an hour early and I had taken the seat which was originally reserved for Yuvraj. He then entered the bus and I thought ‘that is how you make an entry’,”

He asked me ‘do you know whos sits here’? which was followed up by, ‘get up, it is my seat, you can go sit on the other seat’.  Later it was RP Singh had told me that the seat was Yuvraj’s but I still chose to sit there. Having said this, we have a good relationship now.
