Yuvraj Singh names Team India batsman who reminded him of Inzamam-ul-Haq

There are very few players in the cricket history who are blessed with the ability to play shots that other players cannot even dream of playing it. Indian modern day legend and the vice captain of the limited overs team in Rohit Sharma is one such player who gives the impression that top level cricket is a child’s play.

One of the most elegant players in the modern day cricket is Rohit Sharma. The resurgence of Rohit Sharma as a cricketer in itself is an inspiring story especially after consistent failures as a middle order batsman in the early stage of his career.

Rohit Sharma reminded me of Inzamam-ul-Haq- Yuvraj Singh

The former two time world cup winning member and the veteran of the game in Yuvraj Singh shared his thoughts when he first saw Rohit Sharma bat. The southpaw was already an superstar of Indian cricket when the elegant Mumbaikar made his debut in 2007. Yuvraj Singh was one of the mainstays of the Indian limited overs cricket by 2007. He was manning the Indian middle order along with the then Indian captain Rahul Dravid and MS Dhoni.

Rohit Sharma came into the side as an immensely talented player who seemed to have a lot of potential to make it big at the international stage.

This is what Yuvraj had to say about Rohit Sharma when asked about his first impression on Rohit Sharma when he entered the Indian team.

I think when he came into the Indian team, he looked like somebody who had a lot of time. He reminded me of Inzamam-ul-Haq, because, when he batted, Inzi had a lot of time (to play the bowlers),
