With most of the sporting action put on hold due to coronavirus outbreak, some of the athletes are finding it difficult to cope up as everyone stays indoors until further notice by the government.
Since cricket is taken quite seriously in India and the IPL season was on the horizon, matters had become even more gloomy. However, one certain superstar who made sure to not miss out on cricketing action was WWE's The Great Khali. In a recent Instagram video, Khali was seen batting in the gallery outside his home and hit the ball high into the air before flaunting himself into the camera.
The Great Khali is currently in India as the WWE in the U.S.A continues to be held behind closed doors. As for the 13th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL), the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are holding meetings with other authoritative figures while discussing about how and where the tournament could be conducted once things improve outside.
“The BCCI is a friend willing to help all and this is exactly what the ICC needs at this point in time. It needs BCCI and the ECB (England and Wales Cricket Board) to come together and help the game out. You have to understand that at this point in time, the member boards need the Indian and English teams to play everyone to help recover from the economic setback and for that you need strong leadership coming in from BCCI,” and official had quoted.
Plenty of cricketing superstars for the time being are taking to social media to converse with one another while also engaging with their fans. Instagram live sessions, an ‘Ask Me Anything' round on Twitter is what's keeping the players as of now. Rohit Sharma, Kevin Pietersen, Virat Kohli and Yuzvendra Chahal are some of the names that have invested their time on social media lately.
