However, the future of the tournament seems more threatened after the announcement from PM Modi to announce a nationwide lockdown till 14th April. The U-19 star has found a new training partner for his batting practice.
Ravi Bishnoi who was the heart of Indian bowling in the recently concluded U-19 World Cup was grabbed up by the Punjab franchise in the IPL auction. However, the postponement of the tournament has forced him into a lockdown. Though, Ravi Bishnoi, who was in the thick of the things in the World Cup f inal and got in a verbal spat with the Bangladeshi cricketers, has found a way to brush up his batting skills.
Bishnoi was seen practising with his mother and his sister in a twitter video released by his IPL franchise. His mother, who could be seen sitting in a chair, are doing throw down to him on which Ravi is polishing his shot-making skills. The video is posted lightly and displays the fun these players are having in self-isolation.
The future of IPL looks bleak amid the current circumstance. In case of a postponement and cancellation, Bishnoi will have to return to the domestic cricket. However, the decision on IPL is impending on the current Covid-19 situations in India and World. In case IPL goes forward, it will be a golden opportunity for Ravi Bishnoi to showcase his talent.
His teammates from the U-19 squad such as Yashashvi Jaiswal and Kartik Tyagi will also be under scanner in the IPL 2020 if it is played.
