Team India is cruising in the T20 series against New Zealand currently down under. India have taken out the series after super over victory in the third match at Hamilton. Meanwhile, Graeme Swann has come out and has poured praises on one of India’s premier cricketers.

“Jadeja must be in the Indian playing XI”
Former English spinner Graeme Swann is in all good views talking about Ravindra Jadeja. He said that Ravindra Jadeja has been exceptional in limited-overs cricket for Team India. He delivers with all three departments of the game. He added that Ravindra Jadeja must be in the Indian squad for the T20 world cup in Australia later this year and Opposition teams will be happy if they don’t see his name in the team sheets. Swann was quoted as saying this in an interview with an Indian TV channel.

In 2017 after the Champions Trophy in England, Ravindra Jadeja went out of favour in white-ball cricket for India. India started pursuing with their wrist spinners but the injury to Hardik Pandya meant that team management had to reconsider their approach.

Inclusion of Jadeja was inevitable to provide balance to the squad and after that, Saurashtra all-rounder never looked back since. He is now third most economical bowler in T20s since 2019. He controls the game for India in the middle overs and when Hardik Pandya comes back into the reckoning for selections, it will a good headache to have for team management.

India looking to experiment in the last two T20Is
After sealing the deal in the first three games, India will be looking at testing the bench strength in the remaining matches. Virat Kohli said the same thing in a post-match press conference. Also, India should be planning ahead for the T20 world cup in October and assessing their options for each position. Sanju Samson and Navdeep Saini are the prime contenders for the places in playing XI.
