Karan Sharma was born on 31 October, 1998 in Delhi and has played all of his domestic cricket for the Uttar Pradesh state team so far. He made his T20 debut for Uttar Pradesh in January 2021 against Punjab and is primarily a right-handed batsman who can bowl some off-spin. Karan has smashed a total of 301 runs from as many as 10 T20 matches at a fine strike-rate of 136.19 and an average of more than 33.

Karan Sharma has performed impressively well with the bat during the last few edition of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The right-hander has also scored a fine tally of 369 runs in List A cricket from 15 matches at an average of close to 30.
