Nathan Ellis IPL: In a massive update from the second game of the double-header Saturday of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis will be making his debut for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). It is an important game for both the teams as they are coming into this contest after losing their previous matches. Sunrisers Hyderabad’s captain Kane Williamson has won the toss and opted to bowl first on a high-scoring Sharjah wicket.
After witnessing a heartening loss in the last game against Rajasthan Royals, the KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings have made as many as three changes in their playing XI and one of them happens to be the inclusion of seam bowler Nathan Ellis who picked up a wonderful record hat-trick on his T20I debut against Bangladesh. He registered impressive figures of 3 for 34 in that T20I match on a slow wicket in the Bangladeshi conditions. The 27-year-old Aussie pacer has taken 38 wickets in 33 matches at an economy of 8.03. Nathan Ellis is coming into the IPL with a great reputation after recently becoming the first ever bowler to pick up a hat-trick on his T20I debut.
Other than the inclusion of Nathan Ellis, the duo of Chris Gayle and Ravi Bishnoi are also back in the Punjab Kings playing 11. The trio of Fabian Allen, Adil Rashid and Ishan Porel unfortunately misses out. On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have gone ahead with the same team that played the last game against Delhi Capitals.
