AUS Playing 11: After all the off-field issues regarding Covid-19, Australia will now face West Indies in the second ODI at Barbados. Despite missing several first-choice players including their captain Aaron Finch, Australia put up a spirited effort bouncing back from the loss in T20I series. Few people would have given them a chance to put such an effort but they bundled out West Indies for just 123, therefore, winning the match by 133 runs. They now stand a great chance to win a series. In the head-to-head record in ODIs, Australia leads West Indies 75-60.

Australia’s young batsmen struggled initially at the top but Carey and Turner looked impressive and played crucial cameos in the middle order. Alex Carey was the top scorer in his first match as Australia captain. The role of Mitchell Marsh becomes important as he has been contributed with both bat and ball on this tour. Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood took 8-59 collectively in the last game which broke the back of WI’s batting order. Riley Meredith can add more pace to this impressive bowling attack.
