West Indies star all-roudner Hayley Matthews has been withdrawn from the One-Day International squad for the series against Australia. The board sent out a press statement announcing her withdrawal on Thursday.

Matthews faces a charge of breaching the Cricket West Indies code of conduct. “The matter has been referred to the CWI Disciplinary Tribunal. We will make no further comment at this time,” said CWI official statement.

Reportedly, the incident in question took place after a West Indies training session on Wednesday.

Sheneta Grimmond named as replacement

The CWI interim selection panel announced uncapped 21-year-old batsman Sheneta Grimmond from Guyana as her replacement.

 

Kycia Knight doubtful for 2nd ODI

Kycia Knight was stretchered off after falling awkwardly in the first game and is doubtful for the second ODI.
