The Match 24 of the IPL 2021 between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals concluded with Mumbai Indians winning the game by 7 wickets. The Rajasthan Royals posted a total of 171 on the board with hefty contributions from openers Buttler and Jaiswal. Then, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube contributed to the middle-order. In reply, Mumbai Indians got off to a good start with around 50 runs in 6 overs. After Rohit and Suryakumar’s wicket, Quinton De Kock stabilized the team and Krunal Pandya finally returned to form with the bat. In the end, Pollard’s quickfire innings saw the MI winning the match easily.
In the 18th over of the MI innings, South African all-rounder Chris Morris bowled a tough ball to Pollard and he dodged it with his helmet and it went down all the way to the boundary topes, which even Sanju running towards it couldn’t stop. The ball ran away to the fine leg and it got hilarious when Pollard started cheering for the ball to go the ropes.
Watch the video:
Pollard is a character on the field and how funny to be not, he while has got hit on the helmet, is seeing the ball rush towards the fence and is seen cheering for it, while others on the ground are worried, if he’s okay, after he has got hit on his helmet on a smacker ball from Morris.
After losing their 4 overseas players, Ben Stokes, Jofra Archer, Liam Livingstone, and Andrew Tye for the remaining of the IPL 2021, they are struggling to find good form. Although, the team has got a stable opening pair and Samson has been scoring runs. But, the team needs a change in their batting order and Miller and Parag need to be promoted for posting a good total on the board. They do not have too many bowling options in the squad and the present bowlers have given their best for the team.
