WTC Final: Ravichandran Ashwin gives a savage reply to a fan on Instagram

Ravichandran Ashwin is one quirkiest cricketer in the Indian dressing room. The specialist off-spinner doesn’t shy away from  verbal dispute, be it on the field, or off it. This time Ashwin was seen trolling a fan in the comments section of the training video that Ashwin uploaded.

In the comments we could see one of the users stating that he doesn’t feel ‘Aish’ would feature in the WTC Finals. Ravichandran Ashwin was quick to acknowledge the comment in his own manner by mentioning ‘Aish will not! But I may play’

The other users tipped it as a ‘savage’ response from the premium spinner.

Although some fans and experts tend to believe that Ashwin isn’t as effective away from home, his recent performance earlier this year against Australia was noteworthy. The veteran picked 12 wickets from the three Tests and also played a vital innings with the bat in the third Test to draw the game. India ended up winning the series by 2-1.

As of now Ravichandran Ashwin and the rest of his team mates are training in full flow for the much anticipated ICC World Test Championship Final with New Zeeland. The Indian Cricket Team were seen contesting in an Intra-Squad Test with today being Day 1.

Their counterparts New Zealand, are currently squaring off to hosts England in the second Test of the two-match series. The first game ended as a draw, but there were quite  a few quality performances from the Kiwi camp, which are encouraging signs for them.

World Test Championship Live Stream

The WTC Final between the two heavyweights is scheduled to take place from June 18-22, at the Ageas Bowl Stadium, in Southampton. The match starts at 3:00 PM (IST), and will be broadcasted live on the Sony Sports Network, and can be live streamed on Disney + Hotstar.
