The ongoing third Test match between England and India has been at its exciting best so far. The home side is on the top of their game. While Joe Root displayed master class on the third day, English bowlers gave India more trouble and removed both the openers along with skipper Virat Kohli  in the first session of Day 4.

Cheteshwar Pujara will hold the key for India 

Early wickets of KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma brought Cheteshwar Pujara and skipper Virat Kohli on the crease. The duo looked positive and strong, stitching 28 runs partnership until Sam Curran made Kohli play on the front foot and push a delivery wide of off stump to nick one off to Jos Buttler for 20 runs.

Cheteshwar Pujara on the other hand was rock-solid at the crease and got the mark off the 35th ball he faced. The right-handed batsman has batted out 46 deliveries for his 3 runs so far as the Virat Kohli-led side are 29 runs ahead and are 56/3 at the Lunch on Day 4 with Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane at the crease.

ENG vs IND Live: Mark Wood removes both Indian openers

English pacer Mark Wood made sure that the home side starts Day 4 of the second Test match at Lord’s on high. The right-arm pacer was brought early into the attack and he made sure that plan to bring him early in the innings paid off. He gave Joe Root-led side the first breakthrough by removing in from KL Rahul for just 5 runs.

If this was not enough, the right-arm pacer in his very next over removed Rohit Sharma for 21 runs. The right-handed batsman went for his favourite pull-shot but didn’t had much control and ended up a simple catch to Moeen Ali at the deep backward square. Notably, two balls before his dismissal, Sharma pulled a short ball from Wood for six behind square leg.
