IND vs ENG, 3rd Test Day 3 Weather Update: The host England team have dominated the proceedings to a great extent on the first two days of the ongoing third Test against India. After trailing 0-1 in the five-match Test series, the Joe Root-led side came back with an incredible performance both with the bat and ball.
The fans have been very much fortunate that there have been no rain delays so far in this Test match and the conditions were brilliant for batting on Day 2. However, there are some early showers expected on the Day 3 morning of the Headingley Test match, but the rain will stay away during the schedule of play. But the dark clouds will constantly be hovering in the sky which could make things challenging for the batsmen. It will be fascinating to witness how the Indian batters tackle out the England pacers after the former’s horrendous performance in the first innings. The positive news is that there are no chances of rain during the Day 3 of the Test match.
If the first day turned out to be disappointing for the Indian team, things just got worsened on Day 2 as the England team piled up a monumental total of 423 for 8 with a mammoth first innings lead of 345 runs. England’s in-form captain Joe Root racked up his third successive century of the series while Dawid Malan also played an excellent innings of 70 runs. The opening duo of Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed put up a solid foundation at the top with a sensational partnership of 135 runs. The Indian bowlers did pick up eight wickets on Day 2 but the hosts have already gone far ahead in this Test match. Ollie Robinson and Craig Overton are still unbeaten at the crease and England will be looking to score as many runs as possible on Day 3 to put the pressure on the visitors.
