Three Players who could replace Cheteshwar Pujara in the series against England (in case of an injury)

Hanuma Vihari 

Ever since has  Hamuna Vihari made his debut for Team India in Tests, he has been a permanent member of the Indian Test team and is considered as the specialist of the longest format of the game along with the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane and R Ashwin. The right-handed batsman has impressed everyone with his valiance and resilience and was the main architect behind India’s famous draw at SCG in Australia earlier this year.

Vihari

Hanuma Vihari has played 12 Test matches for India and has scored 624 runs at an average of 32.8 and strike rate of 42.6. Though Vihari may not be a sure shot pick in playing XI due to the lack of any vacant spot but whenever he got the opportunity he made most of it.

The right-hander played his last Test match for India in January 2021 against Australia but has been out of the team since then due to injury. If in case Cheteshwar Pujara gets injured Vihari makes a case for himself to be included in the playing XI as he also has the same characteristics as Pujara.
