AUS vs IND Dream11 2nd T20I Match Prediction | Who Will Win Today Match

Bengaluru, February 27, Wednesday at 07:00 PM IST

After Vizag, both the sides now shift their focus on the green tinge of M Chinnaswamy Stadium for the second T20I which also offers shorter boundaries perfect for the run fest. While India has a big task of levelling the series, the visitors will be eyeing on the clean sweep and their maiden T20I series win in India. The much-awaited clash begins at 07:00 PM IST tomorrow at Bengaluru.

Plenty of questions to answer for the hosts

So, what was expected to be an easy assignment for the hosts turned out to be completely different at Vishakapatnam. Well, although there were a few brilliant performances from KL Rahul- who scored a fifty on his comeback and Jasprit Bumrah- ferocious spell of 3-16, the middle-order failure, not able to get rid of tail-enders and lack of sixth bowling option was quite evident in the first game.

Barring, KL Rahul (50 of 36), Virat Kohli (24 of 17) and MS Dhoni – who once again invited criticism for his 37-ball 29 runs knock, all other batters looked reckless and out of context. Rishabh Pant, D Karthik and Krunal Pandya failed to build a partnership in the middle order and the long tail of India was soon exposed in the fifteenth over itself.

The hosts, who were first favourites to seal the series, are standing in a do or die situation. In a two-match series, the Men in Blue are lagging behind by 0-1 and are standing in a must-win situation to level the series. So, with plenty of decisions to make, let’s wait and watch if India comebacks hard.

Kangaroos eye maiden T20I series win on Indian soil

On the opposite, the Kangaroos would be glad to pull off 14 runs of the last six deliveries and that too from Pat Cummins and Jhye Richardson to take the 1-0 lead in the series. Glenn Maxwell (56 of 43), who was outstanding for the visitors with the bat, looked very much determined to finish off things with one or two overs to spare. But, the momentum quickly shifted after Y Chahal got rid of him in the 14th over. What followed after was some disciplined bowling from Krunal Pandya, M Markande and J Bumrah but the last over conceding 14 runs from Umesh Yadav handed a 1-0 lead to the visitors.

Australia, who will be eyeing their maiden T20I series win in India, will be a bit concerned over the form of Peter Handscomb, Ashton Turner and Aaron Finch but are expected to go unchanged for the series decider.

Pitch Report & Venue Stats:

There’s green tinge on the surface which could please fast bowlers. However, unlike Vishakhapatnam, plenty of more runs can be expected from both sides. The Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru offers true bounce and with shorter boundaries, run-fest is down the line.

 AUS vs IND Team News

  • Shikhar Dhawan who warmed the bench in the first T20I is expected to get back in playing11
  • With KL Rahul scoring a fifty, Rohit can be given rest to rope in Shikhar Dhawan
  • There’s little chance of Siddarth Kaul replacing one of the spinners as it is expected to favour pacers more. In that case, M Markande might sit out
  • Australia might remain unchanged

AUS VS IND DREAM11 TEAM

Fantasy picks from India-

V Kohli, MS Dhoni, KL Rahul, J Bumrah

Fantasy picks from Australia-

D’Arcy Short, M Stoinis, G Maxwell, N Coulter-Nile, J Behrendorff

In wicketkeeper, as both P Handcomb and MS Dhoni both come to bat in the middle order, MS Dhoni will be the best pick due to his experience and current form

KL Rahul and V Kohli were among the runs for team India in the first T20I

In all-rounder, G Maxwell and M Stoinis will be the best picks due to their ability to contribute with both bat and ball. Maxwell scored a fifty in the first game while M Stoinis is coming after an excellent BBL instinct.

In bowling, J Bumrah was phenomenal after finishing with 3-16 in Vizag. He will be the key bowler for India. N Coulter Nile and J Behrendorf will be the key bowlers for the visitors.
