Australia vs Pakistan, 3rd T20I | AUS vs PAK WHO WILL WIN
After registering their tenth T20I series in a row, Sarfaraz Ahmed-led Pakistan will look to inflict a series whitewash on the beleaguered Australians when they lock horns with the tourists in the final T20I on Sunday.
Imperious Pakistan aim series whitewash; Australia look to end the tour on a high
After routing Australia by 66 runs in the first game, Pakistan continued their dominance in the shortest format of the game as they registered their tenth consecutive T20I series win with an 11-run win over the Kangaroos.
Opting to bat first Pakistan suffered yet another collapse but their bowlers, for the second consecutive game bailed them out of trouble to.successfully defend the modest total of 6-147.
D’Archy Short perennial struggles against spinners were accentuated to the hilt as the left-hander failed to get going against Imad Wasim (1-8). Short’s misery ended when a straight drive from Aaron Finch (3) ricochet from Wasim’s hand onto the stumps.
Short was followed soon by Lynn (7) and Finch (3) and it looked like the horrors of the first game had come to haunt Australia yet again.
At 3-34, the onus fell on Glenn Maxwell (52) and Mitchell Marsh (21) to drag the team out of the hole. The duo tried to rebuild the innings with a steady 30-run stand but Australia suffered yet another collapse leaving Maxwell too much to do.
Australia eventually finished with 8-136 to concede the series and will now look to salvage lost pride and cap off what has been a horrendous tour with a consolation win.
