Kings XI Punjab are in the 5th spot and have won four games as well as four losses. The team has two of the best opening batsman, but their middle order needs to pick itself up. In all honesty, the team has been a decent outfit so far, but they sometimes have lacked the killer instinct to win games. If they are unable to get their patchy form together, the hopes of making the playoffs are all but over.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have won only two games in seven played and this has been a hard reflection from the roster who has genuine stardom in it. With players such as Steve Smith, Ben Stokes, Jos Butler and Ajinkya Rahane, this is not the classification the management would be looking for them. Sadly, that is the reality of this franchise and they are unlikely to make the semi-finals this season.
