A clinical India A just steamrolled the South African A side in the first Unofficial ODI by 69 runs to go 1-0 up in the 5 match series. It is now time for the second one-dayer which will be played at this very venue in Thiruvananthapuram.

Due to wet outfield, the start of the match was delayed and the game was further reduced to 47-overs per side. Batting first, the hosts posted an impeccable 327 for the loss of 6 wickets courtesy some fine batting effort from the two all-rounders Shivam Dube and Axar Patel scoring unbeaten 79 and 60 respectively.

In reply, opener Reeza Hendricks was the lone warrior for South Africa A as he hung at one end scoring 110 from 108 deliveries but his valiant effort couldn’t help the visitors escape defeat.
