• Priyank Panchal, India A’s captain was stellar in their last test match against England Lions. The player scored a double-ton in the first test and a half-century in the second.
• Sri Lankan wicketkeeper, Niroshan Dickwella, played for Sri Lanka vs South Africa will now play for Sri Lanka A squad. He did not do well with the bat against South Africa (16 runs in 24 balls) in 3 matches but since this is the A team we should expect a better performance.
• Alongside Dickwella, K Sirkar Bharat is also selected as wicket-keeper for the Indian A side. In the last test series, he scored a total of 188 runs in the two innings he batted in. He was 6th in for the squad versus England but hopefully, he has pushed up the order for this series.
• Akila Dananjaya also makes his return to the A squad. The player collected 2 wickets in 4 matches against South Africa with an avg economy of 5. He should fare well against the Indian A squad.
