Sylhet is set to host the 15th game of the Women’s Asia Cup between India women and Bangladesh women. The game will kick off on Saturday (October 8) at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
India women, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, will face Bangladesh Women in their fifth league-stage game. The side has lost only a game so far, in the ongoing tournament. Kaur, after the 2018 heartbreak in Malaysia, will be racing to reclaim the Asian crown.
Bangladesh, on the other hand, had a poor run in their last outing in Birmingham, during the 2022 Commonwealth Games. The side recently lost to Pakistan in the tournament. They won the 2018 Women’s Asia Cup defeating India in the final. The side will be aiming for another breakthrough at home.
