There couldn’t have been a more contrasting start to the 2019 Vitality T20 blast for Surrey and Middlesex.
Surrey had an absolute off-day in their opening game of the 2019 Vitality T20 blast, losing a rain-hit 15-over game by a huge 52 runs; a relatively big margin considering the number of overs.

The positive though was the batting, especially the hitting of the lower end batsmen which kept the scoreboard ticking.
However, Surrey’s efforts shrouded under the shadow of Cameron Delport who blasted a surreal-looking 129 runs from a measly 49 balls.
While Middlesex worked their way through to command an easy match against Essex to start their 2019 T20 blast campaign with an impressive 7-wicket win.
They never looked in trouble when chasing 164 in the 2nd innings, eventually winning on the last ball of the 17th over.
