Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunders kick-start their BBL campaign against each other at Manuka Oval tomorrow. Both the sides have named their squads with five potential debutants on each side. On the top of the list is England test skipper Joe Root who will unite with his teammate Joss Butler to showcase batting prowess for Thunders. Along with Joss Buttler and Joe Root, Thunders have Callum Ferguson, Shane Watson and Anton Devcich in their batting ranks.
On the opposite, Melbourne Stars, who have never finished below the fourth spot, will be seen in a completely new look. Stars will be led by new skipper- Glenn Maxwell and have Dwayne Bravo, Sandeep Lamichhane, Travis Dean, Nick Larkin and Lance Morris as possible debutants. The new signings Bravo and Lamichhane will be pivotal in restricting the opposition while Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell and Ben Dunk will be responsible for hitting big.
