In response, Melbourne Renegades needed three runs off the final over with Lea Tahuhu and Courtney Webb at the crease with just one wicket in hand. Tahuhu kept her calm under pressure and delivered the winning run with just one ball to spare.

After Saturday’s win, Renegades have secured three wins in eight encounters and are sitting just beneath Stars at the sixth spot in the ladder. With four wins in nine encounters, Melbourne Stars are placed fifth and would be looking to bounce back. They have suffered two defeats in their last two encounters.
