South Africa have been out of action for a while now, and so are a few of their players. They will now play back-to-back T20Is and ODIs against Australia. Kagiso Rabada and De Kock won’t be a part of the T20I squad and will join before the ODIs.
Australian players are coming off Ashes and a few leagues around the world. They have a very balanced squad and potentially a very good one. Aussies will have a new captain in Mitchell Marsh, who will lead the team in this series and going forward.
Kingsmead has a tough wicket for the batters and it gets a lot tougher as the game progresses. It has a bowling-friendly track and the new bowlers will get the benefit of it. The average score here is 152.
Aiden Markram in T20
Markram last played in the IPL, and will be geared up to get going big in this series and clinch it. He can be a safe option for a captain pick in this game.
Lungi Ngidi in T20
Ngidi will be the main pacer of the team, and he will be worth the captain/vice-captain pick, if he picks up two wickets atleast.
Mitchell Marsh in T20
Mitch Marsh is a clean striker and has been striking well in the last couple of years. He can pick up few wickets as well, which is an bonus.
Australia should win the 1st T20I by a close margin.
