The United Arab Emirates pulled off an upset of sorts against the dutch in the first T20I in Amstelveen on Saturday. It comes as a significant boost for the Emirates team who will look to maximize on their home ground advantage in what could be considered as net practice for the upcoming World T20 qualifiers.
As for the dutch, they will be looking to bounce off from the disappointment of the first fixture and look forward to leveling the series at the same Venue.

UAE vs. NED Playing XI (Probables):
The UAE: Rohan Mustafa, Ashfaq Ahmed, Muhammad Usman, Rameez Shahzad, Ghulam Shabber (WK), Mohammad Boota, Mohammad Naveed (C), Ahmed Raza, Sultan Ahmed, Qadeer Ahmed, Zahoor Khan.
The Netherlands: Stephan Myburgh, Max O’Dowd, Ben Cooper, Saqib Zulfiqar, Scott Edwards (WK), Sikander Zulfiqar, Pieter Seelaar (C), Antonius Staal, Vivian Kingma, Brandon Glover, Hidde Overdijk/Philippe Boissevain.
1. Ashfaq Ahmed: He set the tone for UAE at the top with a quick-fire 54 of only 35 balls at a strike rate of 154.29 with the help of 11 boundaries. Given it’s the same pitch and bowling attack, nothing is suggesting that he cannot do it all over all again.
2. Muhammad Usman: The veteran batter stepped up after Ahmed’s dismissal and piled up handy 52 runs at a strike rate of 153. His contribution in the middle overs propelled UAE’s score to 181, which in turn proved to be a mountain too high for the Dutch.
3. Max O’Dowd: The in-form Dutchman continued his string of good scores with another 51 against the UAE. Unfortunately, due to the lack of firepower in the middle order, his innings went in Vain.
4. Stephan Myburgh: This might be a surprise pick for a few after he could manage only 18 runs of 22 balls at the top in the Previous game, but it was his return to the international scene after a long while, and the lack of match practice was evident. But he holds the record for most fifties in T20Is for the Netherlands and will look to bounce back strongly in the second game.
