Who won today’s IPL match?: Gujarat Titans (GT) faced Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Match 40th of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. It was a game that saw Umran Malik displaying the exhibition of fiery pace but even his heroics was overshadowed as Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan then played a blinder of an innings to win the match for his side.

Put into bat first, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost skipper Kane Williamson (5) and Rahul Tripathi (16) early. But after that Abhishek Sharma (65) and Aiden Markram (56) scored masterful half-centuries to help their side gain the momentum after a poor start. A fiery start by Shashank Singh, who scored 25 runs in just 6 balls, in the end helped SRH post a gigantic total of 195.

Chasing the target, GT were off the flyer as Shubman Gill (22) and Wriddhiman Saha (68) scored 69 runs for the opening partnership. However, after that it was Umran Malik’s show. the pacer took five-wicket haul and changed the course of the game to leeave SRH tumbling at 140/5. There was twist in the tale once again as Rahul Tewatia (40*) and Rashid Khan (31*) ignited the hopes of their fans again. With 22 runs needed off the last over, Tewatia smashed six on the first ball while Rashid hit ball out of the park on the third ball and the closed the game fir his side with a maximum again.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Umran Malik was awarded Player of the Match in today’s encounter against Gujarat Titans (GT) in Mumbai. His brilliance earned him the award even in the losing cause. The right-arm pacer returned with the figures of 25/5. He took all the wickets of the GT the fell today. Although his effort went in vain, his heroics earned him rich praises across the globe.
