After not getting a chance with the bat in the last five matches, Chhattisgarh’s Shashank Singh announced his IPL 2022 arrival for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in a remarkable style. Shashank smacked Gujarat Titans premier speedster Lockie Ferguson for three consecutive sixes in the 20th over of the today IPL match. The explosive right-handed batsman contributed with a brilliant unbeaten cameo of 25 runs off just 6 balls that consisted of 3 sixes and 1 four to help the Sunrisers Hyderabad finish with a massive total of 195 for 6 on the scoreboard.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad had picked hard-hitting batsman Shashank Singh during the IPL 2022 mega auction at his base price of INR 20 Lakh.  He was born in 21 November, 1991 and has played domestic cricket both for Chhattisgarh and Mumbai so far.

After losing their first toss this season and being asked to bat first, the Sunrisers Hyderabad did not had the best of starts losing two big wickets in the form of skipper Kane Williamson and Rahul Tripathi inside the first six overs of the powerplay. However, Abhishek Sharma then batted really well contributing with an impressive knock of 65 runs off 42 balls.

Aiden Markram also played an excellent innings of 56 runs off 40 deliveries while Shashank Singh’s powerful blows at the end guided the Sunrisers Hyderabad towards a challenging total of 195 for 6 in their quota of 20 overs. For the Gujarat Titans, Mohammed Shami bowled really well to finish with as many as three wickets.
